空間データと社会指標を用いた、SDGsとその相互作用の評価（IDEC国際連携機構　シマンガン・ダリア・コリャード准教授）

2022年11月2日、NERPS、広島大学、リンショーピン大学（スウェーデン）、日本リモートセンシング技術センターの共催により、広く関係者の意見を求めるワークショップが開催されました。このワークショップには、気候変動と持続可能な開発に関連する、平和と安全の分析において豊富な国際経験を持つ国内外の研究者が集まりました。アフリカとアジア太平洋地域におけるSDGsの相互作用をより適切に評価するために、関係する大学間で共同研究の取り組みを開始するためのプラットフォームを提供しました。このワークショップの主な目的は、SDGs の理解と評価における新しいパラダイムをもたらすことでした。 具体的には、SDGs目標をどのくらい達成したか、また、それが政策コミュニティ、学者、その他のパートナーにとって現実的で関連性があり、考えられるものにするために何をすべきかを評価する方法論を開発することを計画しました。このワークショップはMIRAI 2.0（注：日本・スウェーデン間の学術交流・連携の強化を目的とした大学間連携プロジェクト）の協力のもと行われました。

On November 2, 2022, a scoping workshop was jointly organized by NERPS, Hiroshima University, Linköping University, and the Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan. This workshop brought together researchers from Japan and overseas with extensive international experience in the analysis of peace and security related to climate change and sustainable development. It provided a platform to initiate a joint research effort between the involved universities for a better evaluation of the interactions between the mentioned SDGs in the context of Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions. The main purpose of this workshop was to bring about a new paradigm in understanding and evaluating the SDGs. More precisely, the participants planned to develop a methodology that can evaluate how much we have achieved in meeting the goals and what has to be done to make it realistic, relevant, and conceivable to the policy community, academicians, and other partners. This workshop was supported by MIRAI 2.0.
